The Way 2 Life
The Mark of a True Christian

THE MARK OF A TRUE CHRISTIAN

If you say you’re a Christian then act like one. Live a life that is consistent with your profession.
You must understand that salvation is not for your fulfillment but for the glory of God, when you turn your back on the flesh and the world.
True conversion is marked by a humble brokenhearted love for God. True grace reaches to the very bottom of the heart, countering, forfeiting sin, depositing grace and destroying the reigning power of the flesh.

Old testament prophecies tell of Christ coming as the Messiah/Savior, to be the fulfillment of the law. Old Testament scriptures point to Jesus Christ, and the New Testament is the fulfillment of the Old Testament prophesies about Christ.

In regards to our salvation, we owe the planning of it to the wisdom of God the Father. We owe the purchase of it to God the Son Jesus Christ and we owe the power of it to God the Holy Spirit.

Romans 8:9-11 says: “ 9. But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. 10. And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.” This is the Holy Spirit the third person of the Trinity.

John 6:63 Jesus says: 63. It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.” This is the Holy Spirit. The key words here are spirit and life.
If you do not have the Holy Spirit your not a believer and that is also true of faith as well. If you do not have faith your not a believer.

Do you want Him? Then listen. Do you want to live? Then listen. Seek Him by believing what you hear and read in the Word of God, the Holy Bible.
Knock and the door will be opened for you, if you truly have a faithful and believing heart. Once again,
live a life that is consistent with your profession.

1 John 2:3-4
3. Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. 3. He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

Matthew 7:19-20
19. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
20. Therefore by their fruits you will know them.

John 10:27-30
“27. My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. 28. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. 29. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. 30. I and My Father are one.”

John 6:47-48
47. “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life. 48. I am the bread of life.”

1 John 5:7
“7. For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one. Three persons in one God. The Word is Jesus Christ.”

John 1:1-5
“In the beginning was the WORD, and the WORD was with God, and the WORD was God. 2. He was in the beginning with God. 3. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overpower it.”
Here you see all of creation, was handed over to Christ, by the Father, in which the Holy Spirit put into existence, by Christ's design.

John 1:14
14. “And the WORD became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” Once again the WORD is Jesus Christ.

Acts 4:12
12. Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” This name is Jesus Christ.

The Father planned redemption, the Son provided the means of redemption in His death and resurrection, and the Holy Spirit produces the work of redemption in us. He (the Holy Spirit) is the agent that brings about the actuality of the plan that God initiated and that the Son validated; He is the one who activates it. It is the Holy Spirit who regenerates us.

John 3:6 "That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is Spirit." We are born of the Holy Spirit. It is the Holy Spirit who convicts us of sin and righteousness and judgment, John 16. The Holy Spirit even participates in our justification. Our Salvation is a package deal. The Trinity works together in this whole process from beginning to end; the planning, the provision, and the development .

The Work of the Holy Spirit . John 16:5-15.
Jesus said: 5 “But now I go away to Him who sent Me, and none of you asks Me, ‘Where are You going?’ 6 But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart. 7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. 8 And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 of sin, because they do not believe in Me; 10 of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; 11 of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged." 12 “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. 13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. 14 He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. 15 All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you."
The "Helper" is the Holy Spirit.

The mark of a true Christian is enduring faith and obedience, a life in all respects that mirrors your profession. Do not love this worlds system, which is controlled and ruled by Satan. Noted here in 1 John 2:15-17.

1 John 2:15-17
15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the boastful pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. 17 And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.

Ephesians 2:8-10
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

 Romans 11: 33-36
33 Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out! 34 “For who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has become His counselor?” 35 “Or who has first given to Him And it shall be repaid to him?” 36 For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever.

Amen.
